and an Affiliate Associate Professor in the Department of Health
Services at the University of Washington,
Dr. Fishman received his Ph.D. in Economics from

on the use of managed care data for cost and economic research.
Dr. Fishman chairs the Economics Expert Team of
the Cancer Research Network, a collaborative project among ten managed
care organizations and the National Cancer Institute whose goal
is to study cancer prevention strategies and assess cancer treatment
effectiveness and cost-effectiveness in managed care settings.
