Susan J. Curry, Ph.D. Director Dr. Curry is a Health Psychologist and the Director of the Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is also Professor of Health Policy and Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Curry received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire in 1981. Before joining the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2001, she was the Director and senior investigator at the Center for Health Studies at Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound and Professor of Health Services at the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine. Dr. Curry is recognized internationally for her expertise in health behavior research. She has served as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on over 20 grants funded by the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or major foundations and has authored over 140 publications.
